After a long time on the beach, Eve feels thirsty. She leaves the beach and goes to a nearby vending machine. Eve selects an Iced Tea bottle and goes back to the beach.
At no time has Eve inserted coins in the vending machine, nor inserted a credit card in a reader, taken out her wallet nor opened her handbag.
How does this work?
By touching the button to select her item, Eve starts the eGo pairing between the eGo compliant device (the vending machine) and the eGo device (e.g. Eve's watch). Once the eGo pairing is complete, the vending machine and eGo have a logical channel of communication via which they can exchange data. For instance, the vending machine operates the payment by using the ePurse in the Eve's eGo.
