My phone account follows me everywhere!

Jeanne gets into a rental car and starts the engine. After 5 minutes she receives a call via the car's onboard phone equipment.

At no point has Jeanne inserted a SIM card into the car's onboard phone equipment, nor entered a code in the car computer.

How does this work?

By sitting in the car, Jeanne starts the eGo pairing between the eGo compliant device (the car) and the eGo device (e.g. her belt). The eGo pairing done, the car computer and eGo have a logical channel of communication via which they can exchange data. For instance, the car computer accesses a remote SIM card located in the eGo.

The car computer cuts the GSM connection as soon the Jeanne leaves the car.
